'Pulling' for Charity

A team of fit guys from Somerlap and Revolution Fit Gym in Shepton Mallet have joined forces and are attempting to pull, using shear muscle power, a Somerlap articulated lorry, weighing in excess of 14 tonnes, along the East Somerset Way, Wells, Somerset to raise funds for three charities.

Young experts give play den the 'Thumbs Up'

Young experts from Mark First School, Mark, Highbridge joined the staff at Somerlap to 'test' the Sheriff's Lodge play den. The Sheriff's Lodge is just one of the quality timber play dens which are now being sold at Somerlap.

Somerlap bin tidy relieves storage headache as new recycling collections begin

Cheddar Valley homes will soon get their first collection under a new recycling scheme beginning mid July. Recycling and food waste will be collected every week under the new scheme with non-recycling rubbish and green waste collected alternate weeks. The greenhouses are available in three sizes: Option 1 - 6' 4" x 6' 8" (1920mm x 2040mm); Option 2 - 8' 4" x 6' 8" (2550mm x 2040mm); and Option 3 - 10' 5" x 6' 8" (3180mm x 2040mm).

The new raised timber planters are particularly good for those suffering with back problems as they elminate the need to bend or kneel down.
